18-Month Elite Preparation

Purpose:

Designed for ambitious students seeking major artistic growth—this preparation program is created for highly driven graduate-level musicians applying to MM, GD, PD, or DMA programs at elite conservatories. This track provides full-cycle artistic development, advanced academic preparation, prescreen excellence, research-based refinement, and complete audition support from the very first stage through the final decision.

This program is designed to support students through an entire graduate application cycle—including prescreens, written materials, interviews, entrance exams, and live auditions—or can begin mid-cycle for extended long-term preparation while still receiving all in-person components, exam preparation, and full audition-cycle guidance.

Included:​

• Unlimited 1:1 Coaching Sessions (as needed)
  Ongoing high-level training to support rapid artistic growth, repertoire mastery, consistent weekly progress, and advanced preparation. (If a student exceeds 80 75-minute sessions within 18 months, additional sessions may be added at standard lesson rates.)

•  Initial 75–90 Minute Foundational Assessment
  Comprehensive baseline review of musicianship, technique, repertoire readiness, and artistic development needs.

• Full Graduate-Level Musicianship Evaluation
  Technique, tone, bow control, shifts, intonation, speed, articulation, vibrato, and artistic personality analysis.

• Personalized 18-Month Artistic Development Plan
  Structured roadmap covering repertoire cycles, technical milestones, academic timelines, and long-term performance goals.

• Practice Schedule Management & Weekly Tracking
  Customized plans with accountability, targeted refinements, and weekly adjustments.

• Full Repertoire Planning & Audition Strategy
  MM, GD, PD, and DMA repertoire planning for prescreens and final auditions (school-specific compliance)

• Application Guidance & Artistic Narrative Development
  Strategic coaching to shape artistic identity, long-term goals, application messaging, and faculty-appropriate positioning.

• Essay & Written Material Review (all documents)
  Artistic statements, research statements, DMA writing samples, personal statements, CV language, and professional tone refinement.

•  EPK & Professional Materials Preparation
  Electronic press kit, bio, CV, repertoire dossier, headshot guidance, and branding consistency.

• Research-Essay / Writing-Sample Refinement
  Graduate academic writing guidance: structure, argument clarity, citation style, tone, and faculty expectations.

• Theory & History Diagnostic (Graduate Entrance Exam Readiness)
  Full diagnostic covering harmony, analysis, form, counterpoint, ear training, history, style periods, composer identification.

• Theory/History Exam Study Plan + Milestone Checkpoints
  Remediation schedule, study packets, mock tests, progress evaluations throughout the 18 months.

• Professor Match Compatibility Strategy  
  Studio culture review, faculty expectations, research alignment, communication style, and long-term mentorship pairing.

• Prescreen Recording Strategy & Artistic Direction
  Repertoire order, takes, angles, acoustics, warm-up plans, interpretation refinement, and performance pacing.

• 3–5 Recording Sessions With Teacher Present
  In-person recording supervision in Boston, New York City, or Los Angeles (travel fees apply).

• Live Audition Day Support
  In-person day-of assistance for Boston, NYC, LA, Houston, or Dallas (warm-up, pacing, emotional regulation, last-minute fixes). (Travel fees apply.)

• Mock Auditions (Full Graduate-Level)
  Multiple high-pressure mock auditions including DMA-style questioning, repertoire sequencing, and critique.

• Graduate Interview Coaching
  Faculty-style interview training, research-based answers, studio fit discussions, artistic identity articulation.

• Quarterly Long-Form Progress Evaluations
  Deep check-ins covering technical, artistic, academic, and application progress.

• Weekly Practice Structure Tailored to Weaknesses
  Technical drills, repertoire polishing, and long-term refinement mapped across 18 months.
